In every natural space in the world - every small park or garden, every forest, desert, beach - there are visible and invisible beings that inhabit, shape, sustain, care for and guard it.<\/p>

In our idea that the world belongs to us, human beings walk through it without taking this into consideration. So, just as when we go to someone's house we ring the doorbell or knock on the door before entering, we should do the same when we enter any natural space.<\/p>

Doing so is as simple as stopping at the threshold, introducing yourself (if it's your first time there) and saying a few words on the line:<\/p>

\"I greet the Guardian or Guardians of this place and every being that dwells therein. I honor your existence and request permission to enter.\"<\/p>

Usually we are granted such permission, but do not assume that this will be the case. There are places that have been very mistreated by humans and the beings that inhabit them need to heal before opening up to the possibility of feeling comfortable in our presence, no matter how good our intentions are.\nIf this happens and you find yourself on the threshold of one of these spaces, respect the will of the beings that inhabit it and try another time.

It is important that we begin to modify the way we behave and begin to establish relationships of equality and respect with all other beings that exist in this world.
